Ammonium Acetate

Ammonium acetate, with its chemical formula CH3COONH4, is a white, crystalline solid which is highly soluble in water. It is a compound of ammonia and acetic acid and is a common reagent in chemical reactions. It is also called the spirit of Mindererus in its aqueous form or Azanium Acetate or ammonium ethanoate. It is widely used in chemical analysis, preserving foods, and in pharmaceuticals.
