Magnesium Bromide Hexahydrate

Magnesium bromide hexahydrate is a white or colorless deliquescent crystal, bitter taste, density of 2.00g/mL (25/4 °C), melting point of 172.4 °C, very soluble in water, alcohol and acetone, slightly soluble in ammonia. Its main uses include:

- Flame retardant: Magnesium bromide hexahydrate can be used as a flame retardant to reduce the flammability of materials.

- Organic reaction catalyst: It plays a catalytic role in some organic reactions and promotes the progress of the reaction.

- Pharmaceutical intermediates: can be used in the pharmaceutical industry, participate in the synthesis of drugs or as intermediates of drugs.

- Sewage treatment agents: Used to treat wastewater and help remove contaminants from it.

- Other magnesium salt raw materials: can be used as raw materials for the production of other magnesium salts.

- Printing and dyeing auxiliaries for wool fabrics: In the printing and dyeing process of wool fabrics, magnesium bromide hexahydrate can be used as an additive to improve the printing and dyeing effect.
