It is a raw material for the manufacture of soft ferrite for telecommunication equipment, the synthesis of manganese dioxide and other manganese salts.

It is used as an oxidizer for desulfurization, a pigment for enamel, paint and varnish.

It is used as a fertilizer and feed additive. 

It is used in medicine, welding electrode accessories, etc.

It is used as a raw material for the production of ignited manganese metal.
