Potassium chloroplatinate, also known as potassium hexachloroplatinate, is a chemical substance with the chemical formula K2PtCl6. It is orange-yellow crystalline or yellow powder. Soluble in hot water and slightly soluble in cold water, almost insoluble in ethanol and ether. It is  mainly used for photography, electroplating, etc.
