Lead chromate, also known as chromium yellow, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula PbCrO4. Lead chromate is a yellow or orange-yellow crystalline powder, it is an important yellow pigment  and often used as a colorant for rubber, ink, watercolor, oil paint, color paper, etc.
