Ammonium Zirconium Hexafluoride

Ammonium Zirconium Hexafluoride is a colorless crystalline solid with the chemical formula F6H8N2Zr. It is stable at room temperature and is soluble and easily soluble. This compound is mainly used as a raw material in ceramic materials, catalysts, and materials science research. In addition, it is used in metal surface treatment, metal alloy preparation, and battery materials.

Uses of Ammonium Zirconium Hexafluoride

1. Metal surface treatment: Ammonium fluorozirconate is used for surface passivation treatment of metals (such as aluminum alloys, zinc alloys, iron parts), which can form a dense zirconia film on the metal surface, thereby improving the hardness, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of the metal. This treatment is often used for pre-treatment before metal painting to increase the adhesion of the substrate to the paint.

2. Improve metal corrosion resistance: Ammonium fluorozirconate can improve the corrosion resistance of metals such as zinc and lead when added to chromic acid solution.

3. Ceramics and glass production: Ammonium fluorozircon is also used in the production of ceramics and glass, helping to improve the properties of these materials.
