Rhodium Iodide

Rhodium iodide(RhI₃) is an inorganic compound composed of rhodium and iodine. Rhodium iodide usually appears as a black or brown solid, it is not easily soluble in water but can be soluble in some organic solvents.

- Catalyst: Rhodium iodide can be used as a catalyst for a variety of organic reactions, such as hydrogenation reaction, hydrogenation reaction of olefins, addition reaction of unsaturated compounds, etc., and is widely used in pharmaceutical, pesticide, dye and other fields;

- Electronic materials: rhodium iodide has excellent electron transport properties and optoelectronic properties, which can be used to prepare high-performance conductive materials, optoelectronic materials and sensors.

- Photocatalytic reaction: Rhodium iodide has good light absorption performance and photocatalytic activity, and can be used for photocatalytic reactions, such as photolysis of water to hydrogen, photocatalytic reduction, etc.;

- Optical materials: Rhodium iodide has excellent optical properties, which can be used to prepare optical materials with high transparency, high refractive index and high light scattering performance, and is widely used in optical instruments, optical lenses, lasers and other fields.
