​Monoammonium Phosphate

Monoammonium Phosphate, also known as ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of NH₄H₂PO₄ . It is a white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in acetone.

Monoammonium phosphate (MAP) is a widely used source of phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N).* It’s made of two constituents common in the fertilizer industry and contains the most phosphorus of any common solid fertilizer.

Uses

It is mainly used as a fireproof agent for wood, fabrics and paper, and can also be used as fertilizers, bread improvers and food additives.
