Aluminium Hypophosphite

Aluminium hypophosphite is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula AlO6P3. Aluminum hypophosphite is a new type of inorganic phosphorus-based flame retardant, which has the characteristics of slightly soluble in water, not easy to volatile, high phosphorus content and good thermal stability. These properties make products containing aluminum hypophosphite have high flame retardancy, thermal stability, mechanical properties and weather resistance. It is suitable for the flame retardant modification of a variety of plastics, such as PBT, PET, PA, TPU, ABS, etc., and its flame retardant effect is remarkable and it can reduce production costs.

Properties

   - The relative molecular weight is 317.9 g/mol.

   - Decompose at temperatures above 300°C.

   - High solubility in water.

   - The physical form is white granular crystals or powders.

Uses

1. Aluminium hypophosphite can be used as a water treatment agent for purification and coagulation of effluents.

2. It can also be used in the preparation of materials such as ceramics, rubber, and textiles.

3. In the metallurgical industry, aluminum hypophosphite can be used as a pretreatment agent for aluminum to improve the conductivity and mechanical properties of aluminum.

4. In addition, aluminum hypophosphite can be used as a corrosion inhibitor, catalyst and fertilizer, etc.
