Potassium Tellurate

Potassium tellurate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula K₂TeO₃, which is a white solid, soluble in water, and pyrolytic. It has some of the following uses:

- Selective media in microbiology: Potassium tellulate can be used as a selective medium in microbiology for culturing and isolating specific microorganisms.

- Tests for pathological bacteria in plasma or vaccines: Potassium tellurate can be used in tests for pathological bacteria in plasma or vaccines.

- It is mainly used as a tellurium source in electroplating solutions in the electroplating industry for the preparation of other tellurium compounds, such as tellurium and silver tellurate.
